Chennai:
Gold biscuits worth Rs one crore and allegedly smuggled from Dubai were seized from a passenger who arrived from Dubai at the airport in Chennai today.
Officials of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) found Ismail, a native of Ramanathapuram District in Tamil Nadu, carrying three kg of gold during a search of him on his arrival by an Air India flight from Dubai, airport sources said.
He was arrested on charges of smuggling gold, they added.
