Chennai:
A Central Industrial Security Force or CISF constable allegedly shot himself dead at the Chennai airport today. Police said he was found dead in a pool of blood in a toilet in the arrival area of the new international terminal.
The constable, from Assam, has been identified as Polak Rajbonghshi.
Investigators believe it is a case of suicide due to some family dispute. A senior officer said, "He got married only recently. He shot himself dead after talking to his family this morning. We are investigating."
The 27-year-old constable's body has been moved to a Government hospital at Chrompet in Chennai.
