Drugs recovered from cargo section of airport

Chennai: Different drugs valued at around Rs 7 crore were recovered from the cargo section at the airport in Chennai.

According to airport sources, Customs officials swooped down at the cargo section on a tip-off and recovered drugs such as ketamine concealed among fruit consignments meant to be exported to Malaysia.

A total of 65 boxes were recovered by the officials who are now investigating about the sender and recipient of the drugs, the sources said.
