Gold worth Rs 50 lakh was recovered from a passenger at the Chennai airport this morning, authorities said.
The passenger, who is from Singapore was headed to Trichy in Tamil Nadu. He was intercepted at the Chennai airport following a tip-off. Nearly two kg of gold was recovered from him.
Further investigations are on in the case.
