Over 500 detained in storming operation in Chennai

Chennai: Over 500 persons have been detained during a storming operation in the city, police said.

A total of 595 persons were detained on various charges including drunken driving, a police press release said on Sunday.

The storming operation was conducted by special police in various areas, including hotels and mansions as per the orders of City Police Commissioner S George, it said.
