Tamil Nadu cricketer dies at 20

Chennai: P K Dharma, a 20-year-old Tamil Nadu cricketer who has played two List A matches for his state, was found dead in his house in Chennai.

Dharma was found hanging on Sunday afternoon at his house in Trustpuram, Kodambakkam, according to reports.

The state police said they suspect it to be a case of suicide.

A BE Mechanical engineering student at a city College, he'd played a three-day Tamil Nadu Cricketers' Association first-division final for his club, Globe Trotters, against Vijay CC at the Chidambaram Stadium the day before.

The promising player's death came as a rude shock to the state's cricket circles where he is known as a feisty all-round cricketer with a bright future.

Dharma, who made his List A debut in February 2011, made it to the limited-overs team after an injury to L Balaji.

TNCA secretary Kasi Viswanathan expressed shocked at the incident.
