Chennai: An unclaimed hand bag at the airport in Chennai today created a flutter before it was cleared by security personnel, airport officials told news agency Press Trust of India.
"Bomb disposal squad personnel removed the bag and found that it did not contain anything suspicious," airport officials confirmed.
The bag might have been left behind by a domestic air passenger, they said, adding it was in the custody of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
Meanwhile, the glass door of a PSU bank ATM in the domestic departure area was found damaged and a probe had been launched into it, officials said.
