Greater Noida:
Excise department officials seized 1,500 bottles of smuggled liquor on Thursday from Dankaur-Jhhajar road in Greater Noida and arrested one person in this connection.
"Excise inspectors team comprising MP Singh, Karunendra Singh and Upinder Singh has arrested one liquor smuggler who was identified as Sunil Kumar," Kuldeep Yadav, district excise officer said on Thursday evening.
One Maruti Wagon R car carrying the smuggled liquor was also recovered, Mr Yadav said, adding, 1,500 quarter bottles of Haryana-made smuggled liquor were recovered.
Kumar had used water cartons to smuggle the liquor into the district, he said.
