A 17-year-old school girl allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a speeding train, police said today.
The girl identified as Ms Parminder Kaur of nearby Lakhpur village ended her life by jumping before Amritsar-Chandigarh Duronto Express train near Mauli railway crossing between Phagwara and Ludhiana rail section yesterday, said Local railway GRP Post in-charge Gurbhej Singh.
He said the body was handed over to family after post-mortem.
