Jaipur: A toddler died after he fell into a borewell in Sikar district of Rajasthan on Friday.
Two-and-a-half-year-old Montu was playing near his house when he accidentally fell into the borewell in Toda Dareeba village around 2 pm, police said.
A rescue operation was launched and the villagers brought him out with the help of a rope and hook after nearly four hours.
"He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead," Station House Officer of Neem ka Thana Sadar police station Karni Singh said.
On October 11, a six-year-old girl who had fallen into a borewell in Alwar district could not be saved despite a week of rescue operation.
