Chittorgarh: Twenty-three prisoners escaped from the Chittorgarh jail in Rajasthan early on Thursday morning, after overpowering the guards on duty.
The jail-break happened at around 6.30 am. There were only three guards on duty at that time.
Most of the prisoners who escaped had been convicted under the Narcotics Act.
