Muzaffarnagar: A case was registered on Friday against 24 police officials including four SHOs in connection with the alleged killing of a youth in a fake encounter at Ghasipura village in the district, police said.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Renu Rao asked police to register a case after family members of the deceased said no action had been taken on the complaint about killing the youth -- Methab -- in an alleged fake encounter on November 29, 2008.
A case was registered against four of the then SHOs Rajesh Kumar, Parveen Kumar, J S Kanjra and Baljit Singh and 20 other policemen.
