Mumbai:
There is a 24-hour water cut in parts of the Western suburbs of Mumbai from 10 am on February 4, Thursday. Water supply is expected to resume on Friday.
Large part of the western suburbs will not receive water. Juhu Koliwada, Yari Road, 4 Bungalows, SVP Nagar, Lokhandwala, Versova village, Parle West, JVPD, Juhu Tara Road, CST Road, Kalina, Shastrinagar, MIDC Parle East, Bandra - West, Khar - West, Santacruz - West, are the areas that will be affected due to the water cut.
The Municipal body has advised citizens to store and use water judiciously.
Water cuts have become common in Maximum city and the municipality seems to have tried everything from fines to arrests to appeals to get Mumbaikars to save water. It recently launched a 'save water campaign' with Sachin Tendulkar as its ambassador.
