Shillong:
Twenty-nine students were injured, 15 of them seriously, in a stampede at a school in Shillong in Meghalaya's capital on Monday, officials said.
The accident occurred when school children were rushing to a playground from the second floor of St. Margaret's Higher Secondary School.
"Fifteen of them have been admitted in hospital. Four are in the ICU," said Marina Thomas, the school's principal.
Urban Affairs Minister Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh visited the injured in hospital.
