Nuapada (Orissa): Three children were drowned while taking bath in a pond at Rajkhariar in Orissa's Nuapada district on Saturday, police said.
The victims, aged between nine and 12 years, ventured into the pond while returning home from school.
They kept their school bags outside before plunging into deep water but could not come out.
As they did not reach home in time, their family members conducted a search and found the bodies floating in the pond.
The three have been identified as Jogesh Mittal, Aman Agarwal and Anurag Patnaik.
Meanwhile, unable to bear the loss of her grandson, Aman's grandmother died of heart attack, family sources said.
