Pune:
A 30-year-old pedestrian was killed after being knocked down by an unidentified speeding four-wheeler on October 6 near the Pune-Mumbai highway.
The victim, Mohammed Asim Mulla Amirjaan Shaikh, was rushed to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital but was proclaimed dead on arrival by the doctors. He hails from Karnataka.
A complaint in this regard has been lodged by the victim's relative, Zakir Ahmad Nazir Sayyed, with the Hinjewadi police station.
Police said that the victim used to clean Sayyed's vehicle every day.
"The incident took place near a showroom. The driver of the vehicle cost control of the vehicle and collided with him from behind. The victim sustained serious injuries," police said.
