The home guard died on way to hospital in Patna, the police said (Representational)
A home guard was crushed to death by a speeding truck in Bihar's Sheikhpura district, the police said on Tuesday.
Senior police official Daya Shankar said that the dead man has been identified as Suman Paswan (33), a resident of Rajaura village of the district.
The speeding truck hit Paswan at a police check post near Hatiya mor on Monday night when he tried to stop it, he said.
The driver managed to escape from the spot along with the truck after the incident.
Paswan died on way to hospital in Patna, the police official added.
