Jodhpur: Thirty-four French tourists were injured, four seriously, when their bus collided with a truck and overturned in Jodhpur today, a local police officer and reports said.
The bus was travelling through Jodhpur in Rajasthan when the accident occurred, local police officer Raju Ram said.
"It collided with a truck and got overturned," Ram told AFP by phone.
The bus, carrying 38 people including the driver and tourist guides, was en route from the desert town of Jaisalmer to the state capital Jaipur, the officer said.
The injured passengers were taken to the MDM Hospital in Jodhpur and some have been discharged.
"Out of the 34 tourists, four are seriously injured," a doctor at the hospital told the Press Trust of India news agency, adding that the remaining 30 sustained minor injuries.
