Berhampur (Odisha): A 40-year-old woman was killed when she was allegedly attacked by a leopard at Bada Chadeyapada village in Odisha's Ganjam district, police said on Tuesday.
The victim, identified as Kama Sahu, was attacked by the leopard on Monday while she was going to her field, they said.
She was taken into nearby hospital at Polsara, where the doctors declared her "brought dead", said Inspector-in charge, Kabisurya Nagar police station S L K Prasad.
The incident created panic among villagers.
The forest and police officials, including the Divisional Forest Officer, Ghumusara (south), R Ch Sethi rushed to the spot to get all information about the animal, stated to have disappeared into the nearby forest.
