A 48-year-old woman was murdered in her house in Nerul on Monday. The incident occurred in Green House society, Sector 21.
Usha Srinivasan's murdered came to light when her husband Subramanian returned from work at 6pm. Their son is working in Rajasthan.
Subramanian said that when he opened the main door, he found Usha lying in a pool of blood. The police found injuries on Usha's head and neck. Subramanian, who works in a chemical manufacturing unit in Turbhe, told the police that he had spoken to her around 3pm.
"Nothing is missing from the flat. There are no signs of a break-in. Usha let her assailant into the house. It's clear that she knew him," said RY Galdhar of Nerul police.
