50 fall sick after consuming left over food

Uttar Pradesh: Fifty people fell ill after consuming stale food in Gaur area here on Tuesday, officials have said. The people fell ill in Khajua village after consuming leftover food of a marriage function, they said.

Of the 50 people, 32 were rushed to a primary health centre, Medical Officer Vijay Prakash said. It is a case of food poisoning, he said, adding that the Chief Medical Officer along with a team of doctors have reached the village.
