Ambala: Two persons were charred to death and six received burn injuries when a fire broke out in a liquor factory in a village in Ambala district of Haryana on Wednesday.
The army is helping to fight the fire.
All the victims were employees of the factory located in Badholi village, some 30-km from Ambala, police said.
Four huge tanks containing 6 lakhs of litres of spirit caught fire which engulfed the factory premises. Firefighters were still battling the leaping flames.
Police said that two bodies, charred beyond recognition, had been recovered.
The extent of damage suffered by the factory could run into crores of rupees, sources have said.
The cause of the blaze was yet to be ascertained. (With PTI inputs)
