70 injured in bus collision

Kottayuam: Seventy passengers were injured, three seriously when two private buses collided at Kanjirathanam between Kuruppunthara-kuravilangad on Saturday.

Of the injured, 52 persons were admitted in the Medical College hospital here and the rest at a private hospital in Muttuchira, police said.

"Virgin bus" was proceeding from Pala to Vaikom while the other bus Little Flower from Eranakulam to Pala.

Traffic was blocked for over an hour in the route, they said.
