Eight persons, including six women, of a gang were arrested today for allegedly extorting money from people after luring them to have physical relationship with a woman member.
The accused used to lure people to have physical relationship with women members of their gang and then extort money by threatening to implicate them in rape case, police said.
The gang members used to extort money between Rs 50,000 and Rs 2 lakh, they said.
Following a tip off, all members of the gang were arrested, police said, adding a car and Rs 65,000 were seized from them.
