Mumbai:
Mustafa Dossa, who was taken into custody by the Crime Branch on Wednesday for attacking gangster Abu Salem with a sharp weapon at the Arthur Road jail, said that Salem should be arrested and tried for attempt to murder.
He claimed that he is a heart patient and was kicked on the chest by Salem.
Dossa added that injuries sustained by Salem were self-inflicted and that he had been framed in the case.
Dossa told the Esplanade Court that Salem had plans to purchase a property in Lonavla and had tried to extort Rs 30 crore from him.
Since he refused to give the money, Salem, with the help of his aides Manish Thakur and Usman Mehndi, attacked him and than framed him, he claimed.
After the attack, Salem has been shifted to the Taloja jail while Dossa was transferred to the Thane Central Prison for security reasons.
