ABVP pips NSUI, wins Delhi University polls

New Delhi: In a big setback to Congress backed students union, BJP backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won Delhi University Students Elections (DUSU) on Saturday by bagging three seats out of four.

ABVP candidate Jitendra Choudhry was elected President, Priya Dabas grabbed Vice president's post while Neetu Dabas bagged General Secretary's post.

Akhsay Kumar was the lone ranger for NSUI, who managed to win the post of Joint Secretary.

Last year, it was after a gap of 18 years, an independent candidate had won the post of DUSU President following the disqualification of both the NSUI and ABVP official candidates.
