Ballygunge:
Two young men climbed onto a train as it was heading out of the Ballygunge station and threw acid on the women in the Ladies' Compartment. As the women shouted in pain, the men managed to escape.
Six women are reported to have been burnt by the acid attack, two of them are in critical condition in hospital.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening on the Baruipur local train.
