After ransom call, ice cream seller given security

Sirsa, Haryana: A kulfi and ice cream seller of the town has been given police protection following an anonymous letter asking him to pay a ransom of Rs three lakh or face dire consequences.

Police sources said one Naresh Madan, a resident of the town who is a kulfi and ice cream seller, received an anonymous letter threatening him with dire consequences in case he failed to pay the ransom.

Two policemen have been deployed for the security of the ice cream seller.

Police have commenced investigations to identity and nab the accused, the sources said.
