As many as 27 luxury cars of Rs 50 lakh each were bought at one go in the last month in Ahmedabad. Similarly, a couple of months ago another group based in Vadodara had undertaken a bigger deal of luxury cars. They bought 57 cars of Rs 30 lakh each in bulk.
In both the bulk deals, one of the oldest Europe-based luxury car brand's four wheelers were sold.
Interestingly, in both the deals, the number of realtors was considerably high among the list of customers.
As per industry sources, the deal which took place in Ahmedabad was worth around Rs13 crore while the one in Vadodara was bit bigger at around Rs16 crore.
"As they bought the cars in bulk, they got heavy discounts. Simultaneously, they were also able to save tax," said sources close to the development.
It is believed that to fulfill the demand at one go, experts were specially called from the parent company in Europe. "Both the groups from Gujarat met the experts to crack the deal to get a good discount," said sources.
However, this bulk buying is not a record of sort. Sources said there was a group in Aurangabad in Maharashtra that bought around 115 luxury cars at one go.
"The day a group in Ahmedabad buys more than 115 luxury cars, it may break the record," said sources.
