Ahmedabad: A woman allegedly burnt her two children before committing suicide by setting herself ablaze in Ahmedabad on Friday, police said.
The incident took place at Amraiwadi area when the 25-year-old woman doused herself and her two children - a five-year-old daughter and one-year-old son - with kerosene and set on the fire, they said.
The woman died on the spot, while the children succumbed to their injuries at L G General Hospital here, police said.
Meanwhile, the victim's mother lodged a police complaint in which she accused her daughter's in-laws of forcing her to commit suicide.
She alleged her daughter's in-laws used to torture her physically and mentally for not bringing enough dowry.
