Aligarh father abandons children at railway stations

Aligarh: Three-year-old Suhail does not know why his father abandoned him and his two brothers at different railway stations.

On October 6, they had boarded a train with their father. He told them they were going to Delhi. But at Hathras station, he abandoned five-year-old Samir, the eldest kid.

One stop later at Madraak, he abandoned the other two boys, Suhail and Wasim. Before leaving, he gave them a few bottles of water and a ten rupee note.

"He left me at a station with my younger brother and he left Samir at another station," said Suhail.

On October 8, the brothers were reunited by the Railway Police in Aligarh and brought to the Vatsalya Dham Ashram.

''They remember their family and cry during the day, sometimes even at night,'' says Punita Chetan, an ashram worker.

The police are still clueless in this case. They don't know who Samir, Suhail and Wasim's parents are and why they abandoned these kids.

NDTV recently also reported on the case of three sisters abandoned by their parents at a Jammu railway station. Their father has been arrested and sent to police remand. (Read - Kajal and her sisters: Abandoned, in need of a home)
