Mohali:
A 16-year-old girl and her mother were stabbed after an alleged stalker turned violent on Thursday evening.
Both mother and daughter were shifted to Chandigarh Hospital where their condition has stabilised.
Police say, the girl was reportedly being followed by Maninder Singh for the last few days. He also posted some comments on her Facebook account. On Thursday evening the boy followed her to her home but was confronted by her grandfather. Later boy returned with two of his friends and stabbed the girl and her mother.
" In the evening they followed her to her tuition class. They threatened her there too. We also registered a police complaint but later in the evening they came and stabbed her and her mother," says Inder Singh, the victims grandfather.
The Mohali police have arrested two people including Maninder.
