Ranchi: A self-styled Maoist Area Commander today gave himself up in Ranchi, taking the total number of ultras surrendering before the police to nine since July.
Chand Mahato, who is facing nine cases including murder, surrendered before the Deputy Inspector General of Police Sampat Meena and other senior police officials.
He would be entitled to benefits as per the government's surrender package for the ultras.
