Varanasi:
Three persons were shot dead and two others injured when an army man opened fire at them allegedly over a family dispute, police said here on Saturday. Santosh Tiwari (29), Kshmakant (38) and Arvind (20) died on the spot, while Triveni (65) and Tribhuwan (70) sustained bullet injuries when Dharmendra alias Rinku fired from his licensed rifle in Devdhill on Friday night they said.
The injured were rushed to the district hospital from where they were referred to Varanasi, they said. An FIR had been registered against four persons identified as Dhananjay, Dharmendra, Jitendra and Komal Tiwari, they said. The police also added that Dharmendra had been arrested.
