Mumbai:
Not in his wildest dreams did Andheri resident Narayan Gupta think that his home would be robbed and that the accused would be none other than his daughter.
On March 14, he discovered his daughter had stolen valuables and cash and fled home.
"The ration card, a video camera, a laptop, my passport and some jewellery and Rs 60,000 in cash were missing. Her photographs were also gone," said Gupta.
Gupta's daughter, a Std X student at St Dominic Savio High School, is an aspiring actress who wants to make it big in the glamour world.
Gupta, an electric contractor, lives in Trends Apartment in Andheri (East) with his wife and four children.
The family believes that her mingling with the wrong company led her to take such a drastic step. "We provided her with every comfort affordable to us and never denied her anything. We hope the police find her soon," Gupta added.
The investigating officer from MIDC police said, "The Gupta family has registered a case of theft against the girl."
