Indore: Sleuths of the Lokayukta today raided the houses of a revenue department patwari here and detected assets worth Rs 2.5 crore, disproportionate to his known source of his income.
Lokayukta teams raided Patwari Laxmi Narayan Yadav's two houses in Hathod and Ambikapuri here and booked him under Prevention of Corruption Act, SP Ombudsman Virendra Singh said.
The raids revealed he possessed two luxury houses in Indore, a JCB machine valued at Rs 20 lakh, two cars, Rs 11 lakh cash, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 10 lakh, insurance policies of Rs 80,000 and nearly 30 'beegha' agricultural land in Balkakri near here, the SP said adding investigations are on.
