Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) administration on Wednesday admitted in the general body (GB) meeting that it has been able to spend only 35% of the funds earmarked in the annual budget during the first half of the financial year. The PMC's annual budget is Rs3,196.12 crore.
Standing committee chairman Arvind Shinde told DNA that the panel will review the budget implementation on Tuesday.
He has asked the municipal commissioner to seek details about the allocation and expenditure of funds from the heads of departments. As the model code of conduct has been implemented, the district collector said standing panel and GBmeetings can be organised if necessary without taking any policy decision.
