Bangalore: A 11-year-old boy was killed and three others, including two school children, were injured when a tempo hit them from behind while they were on their way to school in Bangalore, police said.
The mishap occurred as the tempo driver was trying to overtake a lorry, they said.
The deceased was identified as Sanjay Kumar, a sixth standard student of Tamil Primary School in Gandhinagar. Two of Sanjay's school friends and a woman attender of the same school were injured and had been hospitalised.
While the two children were stated to be out of danger, the condition of the woman attender was "serious", police said.
The tempo has been seized and the driver arrested.
