Bangalore: A 29-year-old in Bangalore was probably assured that he would land his former colleague in serious trouble when he dispatched a bomb scare to the Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari from an email id he had created in his name.

Bidari asked Joint Commissioner (Crime) Alok Kumar to investigate who had sent the email on July 21 that said 'I will blast Vidhana Soudha'.

Kumar trailed the email to Prasanna who was sacked from World Visions, an NGO, he had been working with for five years. Prasanna's exit followed his differences with Jayasheelan over money.

Jayasheelan had reportedly delayed a payment that the company owed Prasanna.

In order to settle scores, Prasanna created an email-id in Jayasheelan's name and sent a bomb scare from the id to Bidari.

When the Central Crime Branch traced the email back to Prasanna, he confessed that he had sent the email to get back at Jayasheelan. "He had made my life hell. I wanted Jayasheelan to land behind bars," Prasanna told the police.

Inspector SK Malateesh of the Central Crime Branch, said, "Three days after JCP Alok Kumar put us on the case we traced Prasanna who was misusing technology to exact revenge. He has been arrested."
