Bangalore: Two students were beaten up by a mob when they tried to molest a 21-year-old married woman at a bus stand in Bangalore.
The victim says she was waiting for her husband when the two students, Ravi and Madhur, started passing lewd remarks.
The youths were drunk and forced her to get into an autorickshaw, says the victim who asked them to stay away.
When the victim's husband returned, she told him about the incident and he began beating them up.
Ravi and Madhur tried to escape but a crowd that had gathered by then caught hold of them and called a few traffic officials who later handed them over to the police station. A case has been registered against them where the officials claimed that the two were in an inebriated state.
Rao Ganesh, Traffic PSI, who was present at the spot, said, "They were drunk and tried to molest her. When her husband got to know about it, he gave severe blows to them and we handed them over to law and order police."
