A 27-year-old woman in Bangalore, who was suffering from stomach pain for the last one year, consumed bangle pieces on Monday night, allegedly in an attempt to cure herself of the ailment.
According to her husband, Bhagyamma's neighbours advised her to consume bangles to cure stomach pain.
After consuming the glass, the woman started bleeding from the mouth and confessed to her husband, who rushed her to the city's Bowring Hospital.
"After consuming it, she told me the truth and I immediately took her to hospital," said Lavakumar.
The woman works in a garment factory, while her husband is an employee of a private firm in Bangalore.
