Nagpur:
Two tricksters duped a local Canara Bank branch of over Rs 37 lakh by fraudently withdrawing money after deposting bogus demand drafts, police said today.
Accused duo--Deepak Yadav and Mahesh Tikam prepared fictious demand drafts of Rs 37,39,00 and deposited it with Canara Bank at the Sadar branch here and later withdraw the entire money, police said.
The Bank branch manager Krishna Jamde later realised the folly and lodged a complaint with Sadar Police Station. Offences under relevant section of IPC were registered against the duo, yesterday.
No arrests have been made so far, police added.
