Maharashtra is notorious for its low sex ratio. In yet another shocking incident, a female foetus was found at a doctor's farm house in the state's Beed district.
Police have registered a case against the gynaecologist and his wife.
Earlier this month, police had found foetuses in a drain in Beed. So far, twelve ultrasound centres have been sealed at Parli area of Beed in Maharashtra.
These shocking discoveries come amid concerns that Beed district has 801 girls per 1000 boys while the state's average stands at 883 girls per 1000 boys which is also lower than the national average.
