Bharatpur: Judge's father, brother shot dead

Bharatpur: Two people were killed and three others were injured when unknown assailants fired bullets at the home of a judge in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan on Thursday.

The father and brother of the judge died on the spot, and three other members of the family have been seriously injured.

The assailants came on motorbikes and shot at the family in Kaman town of Bharatpur this morning.

The police are investigating the day-light crime that's believed to have been triggered by a long-standing land dispute between the family of the judge and one of their neighbours.

While the family was being attacked, Rajendra Rohilla - the Additional District Judge - was at his office in Alwar. His father and brother who were gunned down were both practicing lawyers in Bharatpur and their killing has outraged the legal community in the area.
