Mumbai: Two people died in an accident that took place in the city on Tuesday night, police said.
Dinesh Choudhary, 22, who was riding a motorcycle, knocked down Chandrakant Kanakekar, 57, when the latter was crossing a road in Marine Drive area at around 9 pm on Tuesday.
Mr Choudhary also lost balance and fell on the divider, and a speeding taxi coming from behind hit him.
While the doctors at Saifee hospital declared Mr Choudhary dead before admission, Mr Kanakekar died during treatment at another hospital on Wednesday.
L T Marg police have arrested the taxi driver Sambhaji Tiwari, 62.
