Ahmedabad: A BJP leader and former Deputy Mayor of Junagadh was shot dead by unidentified persons
on Monday night, police officials said.
Karman Katara, also a member of Junagadh Municipal Corporation, was shot at around 8.30 pm by the assailants, who managed to escape, they said.
He died on the spot, the officials said.
Katara was Deputy Mayor when BJP was in power in the civic body.
