A BJP leader died on Wednesday while addressing a protest meeting against ruling Samajwadi Party Ballia at Bhimpura.
The BJP supporters had gheraoed Bhimpura police station as party of the campaign to gherao police stations across the state to protest against the "goondaraj" by Samajwadi Party when "Tribhuvan Gupta (50) during an enthusiastic speech collapsed," BJP District President Vinod Dubey said.
Mr Gupta was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead due to cardiac arrest, he said.
