Hyderabad:
A nine-year-old boy who was bitten by a dog in Ghatkesar area on the outskirts of Hyderabad died in hospital on Wednesday.
The boy was playing outside his house when he was attacked by a stray dog. He was rushed to Fever Hospital.
Child rights organisation Balala Hakkula Sangam has filed a complaint with the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and has accused the civic administration of failing to tackle stray dogs menace in the area.
Meanwhile in Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu, at least nine dogs were poisoned and killed for attacking cattle in the area.
A police complaint has been registered over the matter after carcasses of dogs burnt were found in the area.
