Madurai:
A 25-year-old youth and his mother were electrocuted today when they stepped on a live wire that had snapped due to strong winds near Melur, 30 km from Madurai, police said.
Suresh (25), was electrocuted early morning at Nagalingapuram when he had stepped on the live wire that had fallen in front of his house, police said. His mother Kamatchi (50), who rushed to his help after hearing his cry, was killed after she too stepped on the live wire.
