Mumbai: A Maruti 800 car suddenly went up in flames and was completely charred at the Currey Road Bridge in central Mumbai.
No casualties were reported as the owner of the car stepped out immediately as the car caught fire. The driver of the car sensed a burning smell and stepped out of it.
Police immediately rushed in and blocked traffic on the road. Later, the fire brigade came in and doused the fire. The cause for the car catching fire is still not known.
